The authorities of Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) said that the metro rail will run from Uttara to Motijheel route in the last week of October this year.
DMTCL Managing Director M A N Siddique disclosed this information while talking to journalists on Wednesday.
Siddique said the metro rail will begin operations from Uttara to Motijheel the next day after it is launched by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Initially trains will be running on a limited scale, he said, adding that some trains will go up to Motijheel, and some will stop at Agargaon.
