ICT to begin trial for July-August 'massacre'

International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) is set to begin trial proceedings on Thursday, 17 October, in relation to the massacre and crimes against humanity committed during the uprising. 

Md Tajul Islam, ICT Chief Prosecutor, made the announcement on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters, Tajul stressed that the prosecution of individuals involved in crimes against humanity during the uprising would be a top priority.

"We will file several petitions with the tribunal on Thursday," he said

However, he did not talk about the petition in detail.
