Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen on Wednesday said communal harmony is maintained in the country during the regime of Awami League (AL).
Dr Momen said this while speaking at a seminar titled “Development of Buddhist Religion and Buddhist Circle Between Bangladesh and India.”
Bangladesh Bauddha Kristi Prachar Sangha arranged the seminar in the capital.
Bangladesh Bauddha Kristi Prachar Sangha President Buddhopriyo Mahathero chaired the seminar while lawmaker Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Kumar Verma and other leaders of the organisation were present.
The Foreign Minister said the government is working for the well-being of all religions and ensured equal rights of Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Buddhists.
