A Dhaka court has issued an arrest warrant against e-commerce platform Evaly chairman Shamima Nasrin in a case filed under Digital Security Act (DSA).
Judge Ash Shams Zaglul Hossain of Dhaka Cyber Tribunal passed the order on October 19, scrapping her bail in the case, bench assistant of the tribunal Shamim Al Mamun confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
He said October 19 was fixed for passing the order on taking the charge sheet into cognizance. Accused Shamima didn't appear before the court, but instead pleaded for a time through her lawyer. The court after that issued the warrant against her and set January 22 for holding a hearing on charge framing in the case.
On September 30, 2021, a customer named Alamgir Hossain filed the case against Evaly managing director Mohammad Rassel, its chairman and Rassel's wife Shamima Nasrin, with Badda Police Station.
