Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places all over the country, said the weather department on Thursday.
According to the latest weather bulletin of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions; at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over southern part of Bangladesh.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over southern part of the country and rise slightly elsewhere over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 33.7 degrees Celsius in Sylhet and the minimum temperature was 23.4 degrees Celsius in Kutubdia of Chattogram.
Met office said the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours (Till 6am Wednesday) was recorded at 89mm in Khepupara.
The sun sets at 6:35pm today (Thursday) and rises at 5:32am tomorrow (Friday) in Dhaka.
