On Monday, the entire nation was in prayers for the Bangladesh cricket team’s former captain Tamim Iqbal. The KPJ hospital in Gazipur saw a large crowd.
Concerns over Tamim's health eased slightly the same day after he regained consciousness following a stent placement in his heart.
He is feeling much better today (Tuesday), and the initial fears regarding his condition are gradually diminishing.
A doctor overseeing Tamim’s treatment at the hospital informed the media that the former Bangladesh captain is now attempting to walk a little within the Cardiac Care Unit. He was briefly moved to a cabin to meet his relatives before being taken back to the intensive care unit.
Earlier, on Monday, Tamim fell ill abruptly during a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match at BKSP. He was rushed to KPJ Specialized Hospital, where tests revealed a blockage in his heart, leading to the placement of a stent.
