The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has named Mehidy Hasan as the vice-captain for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, announcing the decision in a press release on Thursday.
Mehidy, a 27-year-old allrounder, has played 103 ODIs for Bangladesh and recently led the team in the West Indies when captain Najmul Hossain was injured.
BCB also confirmed that pacers Hasan Mahmud and Khaled Ahmed will travel to Dubai on Saturday to train with the squad. They will return home after Bangladesh’s first match against India on 20 February.
