There is a lot of fuss about the allegations of fixing in the current season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Several domestic and foreign cricketers are under surveillance. Among them, the name of wicket-keeper batter of Durbar Rajshahi Anamul Haque Bijoy, who represented the Bangladesh national team many times, is also on the top.
Because of this, there are also rumors of banning him from leaving the country. Overall, this one of the highest run-getters of this year's BPL is going through a difficult time. Bijoy has spoken to various media outlets on the issue of fixing and ban.
The former opener of the Bangladesh national team said, 'Actually, what can I say…I don't know anything about it(ban on leaving the country). I just watch the news and what else.”
Then, when asked if your name has also come up in a media outlet regarding the fixing issue, Bijoy said, 'The BCB is watching it. They are our (cricket) guardians. Now, without anyone knowing or hearing, they (people) are suddenly saying something, which is very painful. Yes, I have informed the BCB and the BCB has never actually informed anyone. Where did they get the news from? Even the BCB is surprised!”
Meanwhile, in an interview given to Indian sports website Cricinfo, BCB President Farooq Ahmed said, “If anything is found in the investigation, then exemplary punishment will be given. I will not spare any culprit. I will make their life difficult. There will be no concessions in this matter, and the decision will be applicable to everyone.”
