Litton Kumar Das missed Gulshan Cricket Club’s (GCC) opening game in the ongoing Bashundhara Dhaka Premier League (BDPL) as he has yet to complete his registration for the team.
An official from the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) informed Daily Sun on Monday that they have not yet received any official correspondence from GCC regarding Litton’s registration.
“Unless he (Litton) is registered, he cannot play for GCC, and we have yet to receive anything in this regard,” the official added.
It was previously reported that Bangladesh star Litton Das had finally secured a team after failing to reach an agreement during the players’ transfer window last month. Former national team captain Tamim Iqbal informed the media in February that Litton had signed for GCC.
However, Litton was absent from his team’s BDPL opener against Mohammedan at the BKSP Ground 3, raising quite a few eyebrows.
Both Litton and Mustafizur Rahman had failed to secure a DPL team during the two-day transfer window, although Litton had taken a transfer token.
