New Zealand completed a 3-0 whitewash over India as they completely outplayed the hosts once again to script history at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday, reports Hindustan Times.
It was another shambolic batting performance from India who looked clueless against the New Zealand spinners on the turning track and failed to hold their nerves. Rishabh Pant put up a fightback with a 64-run knock, but he didn't get any support from the other end.
Earlier, India lost their star batters Rohit Sharma (11), Shubman Gill (1) and Virat Kohli (1) early in the 147-run chase. Ajaz Patel spun his web to get the better of Kohli and Gill, while Matt Henry opened the account for New Zealand. Yashasvi Jaiswal (5), Sarfaraz Khan (1) and Ravindra Jadeja (6) also failed to make any valuable contributions as Pant fought hard from one end.
