Bangladesh batters displayed shabby performance as they aggregated only 171 runs playing only 34.3 overs for all wickets in the 3rd ODI against New Zealand on Tuesday at the Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday, reports UNB.
Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto top scored with 76 runs off 84 balls while Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and Mahedi Hasan stroke 18, 18, 21 and 13 runs respectively.
Zakir Hasan, the left-handed top-order batter, made his ODI debut in this match but scored only one run facing five balls. He has played three Tests and one T20I. He has one hundred and two fifties in Tests.
Bangladesh lost the last match and are now on the verge of a series defeat.
Dean Foxcroft is also making his debut for New Zealand. The right-handed allrounder has played a T20I before his ODI debut.
