Bashundhara Kings returned to winning streak in the Bangladesh Premier League football beating ten men Chittagong Abahani Limited by 2-0 goals in a match held on Friday at Bashundhara Sports Complex in the city, reports BSS.
In the day's match, Brazilian midfielder Miguel Figueira and his compatriot Dorielton secured the goal for Bashundhara and led the first half by 1-0 goal.
Miguel put Bashundhara Kings ahead in the 18th minute from a spot kick while after the breather Dorielton doubled the lead scoring the second goal in the 51st minute of the match.
Bashundhara Kings clearly dominated the proceeding and notched their deserving victory on the day while Chittagong Abahani Limited were off-colored.
With the day's win, league leaders Bashundhara Kings maintained their domination in the league table with 43 points from 16 matches while the port city team Chittagong Abahani Limited remained at their previous collection of 13 points playing 15 outings.
Earlier, in the first phase, Bashundhara Kings blanked Chittagong Abahani Limited by 3-0 goals in a match held at Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.
