Every entrance to Bashundhara Residential Area is under strict security measures. Residents enjoy maximum safety thanks to 24/7 security guards and AI-powered CCTV surveillance. Security personnel say there are multiple layers of surveillance with hundreds of CCTV cameras, monitoring every street for safety purposes.
These high-resolution cameras clearly capture license plates of vehicles. They function as per set commands, leaving no chance for anyone to commit or escape with crimes or irregularities. The area has 14 gateways, each with security guards.
The gates have 24-hour checkpoints, where suspicious activities are monitored. In addition, Bashundhara has its own fire service, always prepared for any fire emergency. They arrive at incident sites even before Baridhara Fire Service.
Thanks to effective planning, no major fire accidents have occurred here so far.
Dedicated Security Force
Bashundhara Residential Area has its own large security force. They patrol the area 24/7 in three shifts.
Residents can call the security force at any time, and they arrive within minutes. They perform duty year-round without interruption.
Authorities provide accommodation and transport for them. Every day, the guards receive briefing and instructions from senior officials. Each shift has an in-charge who submits reports—either in person or via mobile phone—to the chief officer of the security department.

No Embarrassing Situations
Due to strict security, not only men but also women and children can go out late at night without worry. Anyone can walk freely on the streets. With motorbike and car patrols, security personnel maintain 24-hour surveillance, leaving no chance for disturbance.
Dedicated Police Station in Progress
Currently, Bashundhara falls under Vatara, Badda, and Khilkhet police stations of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. However, the government has planned to establish a dedicated police station in Bashundhara soon. Residents believe this will further enhance security and also increase land value.
No Theft, Robbery, Extortion, or Gang Activity
As an officially approved residential area with both government and private security, Bashundhara is free from theft, robbery, extortion, and gang violence. In rare theft cases, culprits are immediately identified and brought under the law. Once caught, their details including photographs are recorded. AI-enabled cameras are programmed to detect and alert if such individuals re-enter the area.
As a result, theft and robbery are nearly non-existent here. No one can cause chaos either. There are also no beggars, hawkers, or harassment from hijra groups. Auto-rickshaws are not allowed. Only a limited number of paddle rickshaws, authorized by the Bashundhara Welfare Society, operate with uniforms and ID numbers—ensuring no embarrassing situations arise.
Statement from Security Chief
Bashundhara Group’s Executive Director and Head of Security, Major (Retd.) Md. Mahbubul Wadud, said: “One of the main reasons why Bashundhara Residential Area’s security is stronger than anywhere else is that no one can get away after committing a crime here. If any incident occurs—monthly or half-yearly—the perpetrators are immediately brought under the law. That fear itself prevents crimes. On top of that, there is direct supervision from the owners, and they consider security a top priority.”
Police Endorsement
Most of Bashundhara falls under Vatara Police Station. Its Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rakibul Hasan said: “The security management of Bashundhara Residential Area is excellent. I have never heard of any theft or robbery on its roads or in front of houses. Alongside Bashundhara Group’s own security system, we also have a patrol team active 24/7. Altogether, the area’s security system is very advanced.”
