The Bollywood film “Stree 2” was released in the country’s theatres on Friday under the SAFTA agreement. The Indian blockbuster film was imported in exchange for the domestic film “Prohelika.”
Although it was supposed to be released last week, it could not be done due to the lack of clearance from the Film Certification Board. Finally, “Stree 2”, which did record business in Bollywood, was released on November 1.
Zahid Hasan Abhi, from the importing company “The Abhi Kathachitra,” said to the media that Stree 2 has been released in 30 theatres in Bangladesh. It was intended to be released last week, but due to delays in obtaining permission, it was not possible; it was released Friday.
The horror comedy genre “Stree 2” was released in India on August 15. Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar played cameo roles in it.
This Rs60 crore film starring Shraddha, Rajkumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana managed to surpass those expectations.
Indian media reports that “Stree 2” has done business of over Rs801 crore and has earned Rs586 crore in India, breaking the record of the blockbuster film “Jawan.”
A song sung by Madhubanti Bagchi named “Aaj Ki Raat” in the film has gained immense popularity.
