The government has appointed Md Reza Hasan, the deputy commissioner (DC) of Cumilla, as the new deputy commissioner of Sylhet.
It has also appointed Rozy Akter, a deputy secretary at the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, as the new deputy commissioner of Cumilla.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued the appointment order on Sunday.
Earlier, on June 21, Md Sarwar Alam was removed from his post as the deputy commissioner and district magistrate of Sylhet.
He has now been posted as a deputy secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration.
