Md. Nazrul Islam, secretary of the Rural and Cooperatives Division, has been appointed as the new secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.
This information was shared in a notification signed by Jamila Shabnam, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, on Tuesday, as per the order of the President.
The notification also mentioned that this order, issued in the public interest, will be effective immediately.
In addition, Hamidur Rahman Khan, the previous secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, has been made OSD. The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a separate notification making him OSD.
