Ferry services on the Shariatpur-Chandpur water route have resumed following the clearing of heavy fog that had halted operations.
The ferry services, which were suspended from 4:00 am today (February 18) due to the thick fog, resumed at 8:30 am, reports UNB.
“The dense fog began to appear from Monday night. To prevent any mishaps, ferry services were halted from 4:00 am on Tuesday. Once the fog cleared, we resumed services at 8:30 am, said BIWTC Narsinghpur Ferry Terminal Deputy Manager Mohammad Iqbal Hossain.
At present, six ferries, both large and small, are actively operating on the Shariatpur-Chandpur route.
