President of Gono Odhikar Parishad Nurul Haque Nur, said, "If the Awami League gets a chance, it will not spare anyone behind. Many national and international agents will work and provide funds to make the Awami League come back. So I would like to tell all political parties, including students, to make your position clear on the Awami League issue and we must do so."
He said this in a discussion on the topic of expectations and achievements after the mass uprising organized by the Peshajibi Odhikar Parishad at the Nasrul Hamid Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity on Saturday.
Noor said, "We do not see any student in a strong position on the issue of banning the Awami League. The student organizations needed to continuously carry out the movement on this issue. But I do not understand why they are in an opportunistic position on the issue of the Awami League."
He said, "The children of ordinary farmers, workers, and the people gave their lives in the July movement. Show me how many sons of secretaries and sons of MPs died? But the upper class, rich, looters, and syndicate classes of this society benefited from it. That is why we said we need a new political settlement. We want a new political settlement. If the people do not understand this, then the its all the same.”
The President of Gono Odhikar Parishad said, “You have named this government an interim government. You have eaten it with the interim name. The name should have been an all-party national government. But you did not. Did you think it was very easy, that everyone would accept it for life? You see that within five months, the government and the political parties are facing each other. If this continues, then there is no need to ban the Awami League. This quarrel among yours will give the Awami League an opportunity to rehabilitate them. When will you ban the Awami League?”
