Jamaat leader ATM Azharul Islam's review petition against death sentence in 19971 crimes against humanity case to be heard by Supreme Court's Appellate Division today (Thursday).
The hearing of the review petition will be held before a four-member bench of the Appellate Division, led by Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed.
The order for the hearing was issued by the bench on January 9.
Senior lawyer Barrister Abdur Razzaq, assisted by Advocate Mohammad Shishir Manir, Barrister Ehsan A Siddique, and Barrister Najib Momen, presented Jamaat leader ATM Azharul Islam's review petition in court.
Advocate Shishir Monir later confirmed that the petition would be heard on January 23, with Barrister Abdur Razzaq representing the case.
