Primary and Mass Education Adviser Dr Bidhan Ranjan Roy said that the government school teachers being employed under government regulations, are prohibited from engaging in politics, and legal action will be taken if such involvement is proven.
Bidhan Ranjan made these remarks on Saturday afternoon while speaking to journalists after a meeting with tenth-grade officials at the National Academy for Primary Education (NEP) in Mymensingh.
“To enhance the quality of children’s education and reduce costs, private educational institutions are being brought under registration,” said the adviser, adding: “Changes has been made in the curriculum to ensure quality education.”
He said: “If children rely only on textbooks for their mental development, the results often deteriorate. For overall development, they need to participate in sports and cultural activities along with studies. For this, awareness is needed among teachers and parents.”
During the event, Farid Ahmed, Director of the National Academy for Primary Education in Mymensingh; Sadia Ummul Banin, Deputy Director; Mizanur Rahman Khan, District Primary Education Officer; and other officials were present.
