Jahidul elected new Shibir president

Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, has elected Jahidul Islam as its new president for the session of 2025.

Jahidu has been elected through votes at the central council of Islami Chhatra Shibir in the capital’s Suhrawardy Udyan on Tuesday.      

Councillors cast their vote from 7:00 pm Sunday to 9:00 pm Monday through online.   

According to the constitution of the Islami Chhatra Shibir, its secretary general will be elected later.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman was the chief guest at the council.
