Gono Odhikar Parishad President and Dhaka University Central Student’s Union’s (DUCSU) Vice President Nurul Haque Nur asked why the syndicates are still active in the markets.
He himself answered to his question, saying: “Most of the advisers are inexperienced, and they have no little understanding in governance.”
“State is a political institution, and that’s why politicians should get priority in the process.”
He made those remarks at Brahmanbaria community center while addressing a program titled “July Revolution and the Politics of People’s Aspirations in Building a New Bangladesh” organized by district committee.
Nurul Haque Nur said: “Ousting fascism, we formed new government. But the interim government failed to meet our aspiration in four and half months. The people have received a huge shock, has this formed the government?”
He furthered that people were dreaming of a “Revolutionary Government”, but it didn’t happen. They formed a “friend and known circle” government, still they welcomed them.
He said: “Country’s bureaucracy is the biggest culprit for Sheikh Hasina’s fascism. The SP-DCs are still in power. The Awami League, Chhatra League and Jubo League leaders have left the country. Many of them have been sued and arrested.”
“How many SP-DCs, UNO-OCs have been arrested? These SP-DCs, UNO-OCs were accomplices in Sheikh Hasina’s misdeeds.”
He demanded for trial of those government officials who were allies of fascism along with Sheikh Hasina.
He urged the government to bring back Sheikh Hasina, the mastermind of the genocide, through strong negotiations with India and hang her to set an example for the world.
