The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Central African Republic, General Mamadou Zephirin, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, at the Bangladesh Army Headquarters in Dhaka Cantonment on Wednesday.
The two military leaders exchanged greetings and discussed matters of mutual interest, including the strengthening of friendly ties and potential future cooperation between their respective forces. General Waker-Uz-Zaman expressed his gratitude to General Zephirin for the visit.
Prior to the meeting, General Z. Mamadou laid a wreath at Shikha Anirban. Later, the General received Guard of Honour at Senakunja and planted a sapling.
General Zephirin arrived in Bangladesh on February 4, 2025, for a five-day official tour. During his stay, he is scheduled to visit key military establishments, including the National Defence College, the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT), and the Cox’s Bazar area. The visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the Central African Republic.
