Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the anti-discrimination movement, claims that conspirators in India would not succeed, stating that the people of Bangladesh would not allow it.
Speaking at a councilors' rally in the capital's National Press Club auditorium on Wednesday, Hasnat accused "fascist conspirators" of fleeing in the face of growing public and student opposition.
The councilors' rally was held to demand the reinstatement of anti-genocide and anti-fascist city corporation and municipal councilors in the public interest and to cooperate with the current government. The rally was presided over by Advocate Nazrul Islam Khan, a former councilor of GACIC and president of the Bangladesh City Corporation Councilors Association.
