The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed separate lawsuits against former police chief Benazir Ahmed and NBR’s former senior official Matiur Rahman, as it has found credible evidence of the two government officials amassing huge illegal wealth during the Awami League regime.
The wife of Matiur, ex-president of the National Board of Revenue's (NBR) Customs, Excise and VAT Appellate Tribunal, has also been implicated in the case.
