Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman said they want the country to be run on the principals of transparency.

He said: “We want humane nation where people will love and respect each other. We will not consider at someone’s status rather treating them as Ashraf-ul-Makhlukat.”

He on Sunday night made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a gathering organized by Kafrul South Thana Jamaat at an auditorium in the capital.

He said: “People of the society will get security and dignity regardless of cast, color, or social status.”

“We will not discriminate against religion as Allah has given the right to choose the religion without posing it on anyone,” he furthered, adding that people of all religion together will make a “Floral Garden”, by the wish of almighty.

“People in the country are living in peace and on the basis of compassion.”

The Jamaat Ameer said: “This is happening as most of the country people are Muslims and they believe that the life and wealth of every people is a “Deposit” to other people.”

“With the wind of change, we tried our best to stand by everyone,” he furthered, adding: “We have assured everyone that we are all citizens of this country, and we will live here in peace. We will not be allowed to create unrest.”

Sharing an example of their trying, he said: “You all have witnessed that the people took the responsibility in absence of government between 5th to 7th of August.”

He stressed on Awami League leaders’ comments as they said: “With the fall of AL, 500,000 people will die in two days.”

“By the grace of Allah, nothing happened to them, it was a special grace of Allah,” said Shafiqur Rahman.

Addressing former AL MPs and ministers, Shafiqur Rahman said: “The people have act responsively, but the AL was addicted to murder. We want a society where people will be responsible and humane.”

The Ameer further said: “It has been said that if we come to power, then women will not be allowed to leave the house and black ‘Burqas’ will be bought and worn with state funds.”

“But Islam never forces anyone to wear “Burqas”. Islam encourages people to wear modesty through mental changes. If a girl wants to wear ‘Niqab’ and ‘Hijab’ with pleasure, then Allah will change them.”

He said: “There are people of other religions in this country; we cannot force this rule on them.”

He further said: “For the past 15 years, the AL cadres have carried out violence in the country and established a reign of terror. But through the united efforts, all their plots have been crushed to the ground, which we could not even imagine and this was beyond the imagination of the fallen dictatorship.”

“This was a part of Allah’s plan,” he said.

“AL has played with people’s blood. They beat people to death on the streets on October 28 and then came to power through rigged elections and killed 57 patriotic army officers, Jammat Ameer said, adding: “They brutally killed top leaders of Jamaat one after another in the name of justice.”

“Even scholars and madrasa students were not spared from their hands. But this evil force fell through the united movement of students and the public.”

“During the AL regime, the country was turned into a sanctuary for criminals,” he furthered, adding AL couldn’t change its behavior even after the shameful fall.

“The golden boys of Bangladesh Chhatra League have been arrested in India on charge of rape. And these are the people who celebrated 100th rape at a public university.”

He said: “No one has been spared from AL’s torture. They made top leaders of Jamaat stand on the gallows, make them confess their crimes and beg for mercy. But they honored us by remaining steadfast like the Himalayas, which is an honor for the country and the nation.”

Paying tribute to the martyrs of July-August movement, he called on every one to unite in the movement to turn the country into a welfare state.
