Two people were killed after being run over by a speeding train in Gazipur's Tongi on Monday night.
Their identities could not be known yet but it is suspected that they were father and son, police said quoting locals on Tuesday, reports UNB.
According to SI Choton Sharma of Tongi Railway Police Outpost, the incident occurred around 10:30 pm near the Bonmala area on the Dhaka-Mymensingh rail route. The Kurigram Express struck the victims, killing them on the spot.
Efforts are on to identify them, he said.
Police recovered the bodies and sent them to the morgue for autopsy, he added.
