Carton factory catches fire in CEPZ

A fire broke out at a carton factory located in the Chattogram Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) on Saturday evening.

No casualty was reported in the incident.

The fire originated at Unity Accessories housed on the third floor of a six-storey building around 6:10 pm. 

Chattogram Fire Service control room official Kafil Uddin said being informed, seven firefighting units were rushed to the spot.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, he added.
