16 convicts get Presidential mercy

President Mohammed Shahabuddin has pardoned 16 convicts, who have served half of their jail term, on the occasion of the Victory Day.

The matter was revealed through a press note signed by Assistant Inspector General of Prisons (Media) Jannat-ul Farhad on December 3.

They got the Presidential pardon as per the Article 49 of the Constitution, it said
