Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has called on everyone to unite, putting aside political ideology, on the ‘question of the existence of the nation’.
Professor Yunus said that those who did not like the student-public uprising are trying to erase it and return it to its previous state. He indicated that this attempt is also being made from abroad.
The chief advisor made this call in a speech at a meeting with leaders of various political parties including BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami on Wednesday afternoon.
He said, “The freedom we have gained through the student-led uprising may not be liked by many. There are attempts to stop it in various ways. You have seen this from the perspective of reality after August 5.
“They are trying to cover up the new Bangladesh that we are trying to build and create another story. They are giving an outline all the time. It is not limited to one country, it has spread to certain big countries.”
Professor Yunus said, those who did not like the victory uprising want to erase it. They want to hide it. They want to present it to the world in a new way.
