Government has sent nine assistant superintendents of police (ASPs) on forced retirement.
The Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs issued nine separate gazette notifications in this regard on Sunday.
The police officials who were sent on retirement are MR Shawkat Anwar Islam of BMP, Md Selim Hossain of CID, Md Enayet Hossain of SSF, Md Mizanur Rahman of RAB, Md Matiur Rahman of APBn, Md Nasir Uddin Bhuiyan of RAB, Md Jamal Uddin of RAB, Zobairul Haque of APBn and Md Mosharraf Hossain of Industrial Police.
According to the notifications, the police officials were sent on retirement from government service in public interest as per section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018.
They will be entitled to all fringe benefits of retirement as per the rules.
