The government has sent nine Police officers to compulsory retirement at a time. All of the retired officers are of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) designations.
Nine police officers were sent on compulsory retirement in nine separate notifications of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The notifications were signed by Senior Secretary of the Ministry's Public Security Division, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen, on the orders of the President.
The officers sent on compulsory retirement are BMP Assistant Police Commissioner MR Shawkat Anwar Islam, CID Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Selim Hossain, SAF Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Enayet Hossain, RAB Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Mizanur Rahman, RAB Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Nasir Uddin Bhuya, RAB Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Jamal Uddin, APBN Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Matiur Rahman, APBN Assistant Superintendent of Police Jobairul Haque and Industrial Area Police Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Mosharraf Hossain.
According to nine separate notifications, these members of the BCS (Police) cadre have been retired from service in the public interest as per the provisions of Section 45 of the Government Services Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018). They will be entitled to retirement benefits as per the rules.
