The interim government has created 86,277 jobs in its first 100 days, as stated by Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan, Adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. He explained that among these 86,277 individuals, 2,468 individuals were employed in the revenue sector, while 83,809 were recruited under project-based initiatives.
Asif Mahmud shared this update during a press conference on Sunday.
He mentioned that multiple ministries were involved in executing this initiative, with notable contributions from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, the ICT Division, and the Ministry of Labor and Employment.
For the fiscal year 2024-25, the government aims to provide training to 264,080 individuals. 19,452 of them have completed training in the past 100 days, and 52,115 are currently undergoing training. Additionally, 710 individuals have been trained in traffic management and social awareness, while 231 of them are employed as traffic police assistants.
The press conference also highlighted the government’s target to create 500,000 jobs within the next two years.
