The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is set to hold a rally on Friday in observance of the National Revolution Solidarity Day. Scheduled for 2:30 p.m. in front of the BNP's central office in Nayapaltan, the rally is drawing leaders and activists from across Dhaka, filling the area with vibrant slogans. Processions are arriving from various parts of the city, converging at the central office to join the event.
BNP executive committee member Abdus Sattar Patowari stated that leaders and activists from all wards within the Dhaka division will participate, noting that the stage was prepared overnight. The BNP has released a procession route that will move from Nayapaltan through Kakrail Square, Kakrail Mosque, Matsya Bhavan Square, and continue past the Engineer's Institution to Shahbagh Square. The route then leads through Hotel Intercontinental (formerly Sheraton), Banglamotor Junction, Karwan Bazar, Farmgate, and ends at Manik Mia Avenue.
Patwari described the rally as a "historic event of remembrance," reflecting the significance of Revolution Solidarity Day.
