The student protesters gave an ultimatum to President Md Sahabuddin to resign him within the next 24 hours.
The announcement was made on Tuesday afternoon from the Bangabhaban siege program demanding the President's removal.
Earlier, after a short rally at Shahbagh, a group of students and mass people under the banner of Inquilab Manch, Anti-Fascist Chhatra-Janata Mancha and July 36 Mancha held a siege program to Bangabhaban.
At that time, the protesters said the current President is an ally of Awami League and Sheikh Hasina. We don't want him to be president. So we gave him a 24-hour ultimatum to resign from the presidency. If he doesn't resign within 24 hours, we know how to get him out of the way. If the ultimatum of 24 hours is not acted upon, we will form the non-stop movement.
