Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun on Tuesday said Bangladesh is emerging as a growth hotspot through sustainable practices, reports BSS.
"Bangladesh, geographically and strategically an important country in the Asia-Pacific region, is emerging as a growth hotspot through sustainable practices. Due to the expansion of the country's economy, global companies are showing interest in investing here," he said.
The minister said this while addressing a "Key and Special Address Session" at a two-day "Fourth Bangladesh International Trade Summit-2024" at a hotel in the city, said a press release.
Knowledge Sharing Company 'BigMint' organised the event.
Humayun said the two-day international trade summit will bring together key stakeholders of the steel, cement and power sectors, including industry leaders, policymakers, traders and investors.
"Moreover, it will create a platform to open up new horizons of cooperation in these sectors," he added.
