The government has sent three Superintendents of Police (SPs) on compulsory retirement.
Of them, two SPs are from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The SPs are Mirza Abdullahel Baqui and Shahidullah Chowdhury of the CID and Delwar Hossain Mia of the Police Headquarters.
Public Security Division of the Home Ministry issued three separate notifications signed by senior secretary Akhter Hossain on Tuesday evening stating that the SPs were sent on retirement in the public interest as per section 45 of the Public Servants Act, 2018.
These orders will come into effect soon due to the greater interest of the people, it said.
Earlier on Sunday, the government issued a gazette notification after sending Information and Broadcasting Secretary Md Makbul Hossain on forced retirement.
