There isn’t any significant change regarding the entry of heavy machinery and mobile houses to the Gaza Strip from the main two entry points.
What has been allowed to enter Gaza yesterday and during the early hours of this morning, as we have seen today, are only humanitarian aid trucks that are carrying basic humanitarian necessities, including food, water, medical supplies, blankets and makeshift tents. But not quite enough for civilians who are suffering from a very drastic humanitarian situation.
Medical evacuations are also still taking place. Yesterday, dozens of Palestinians have been evacuated from Gaza to receive medical treatment in Egyptian hospitals.
But, until now, heavy machinery and mobile houses are still lined up on the Egyptian side of the border, waiting for permission from Israeli authorities to access the Gaza Strip.
The next 24 hours could be a test for the durability of the ceasefire deal, and whether Israel will commit to the terms and to the promises given to regional mediators or not.
