Gaza-based Hamas group has condemned the Israeli military’s ongoing assault on the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, describing it as an “unprecedented crime against humanity”, reports Al Jazeera.
“The occupation army continues its brutal bombing and systematic destruction of areas in the north of the Gaza Strip, especially Jabalia, its refugee camp and Beit Lahiya,” it said in a statement late on Sunday.
It added that the attacks have been hitting shelters, schools, and the Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Hamas also said threats were made to forcefully remove patients, the injured, and displaced people from the hospital, calling it “a crime of ethnic cleansing and forced displacement” amid international silence and inaction.
The group appealed to “Arab and Islamic nations” as well as governments and global entities to take immediate action using all means to support the Palestinian people, protect holy sites, and liberate their land from occupation.
The Israeli army has been carrying out a huge military operation in northern Gaza for more than two and a half months.
