Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei claims Tehran has “evidence” that “what happened in Syria was the product of a joint plan by the US and the Zionist regime”, reports Al Jazeera.
He said this in his first comments since the fall of Bashar al-Assad.
“Yes, a government neighbouring Syria played and is playing a clear role in this. We see this,” he told a gathering in Tehran, referring to Turkiye.
But Khamenei again emphasised that “the main conspirators” were the US and Israel.
