Israeli tanks surround Indonesian Hospital in Gaza where at least 12 people killed following direct Israeli strikes since the morning, reports Al Jazeera.
Staff at the Indonesia hospital are appealing for urgent help after an Israeli strike.
Al Jazeera’s Anas al-Sharif has described the scenes inside Indonesian Hospital as “chaotic”.
He said, “There is an overwhelming state of panic among patients. Victims are piling up on the floor.”
The hospital was now “besieged” by Israeli forces and anyone moving outside was a target, he added.
Extensive damage to the ceilings of the hospital and other areas can be clearly seen in the footage. Hundreds of displaced people were also present, taking refuge at the hospital to escape Israel’s bombardment of the enclave.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s health ministry director dismissed Israel’s claim that it had found a Hamas tunnel at the al-Shifa Hospital, describing it as a “pure lie”.
Israeli forces have also raided homes in ash-Shuweika suburb in the city of Tulkarem.
More than 13,000 people killed in Gaza since Israeli bombardment began on October 7. In Israel, the official death toll in Hamas’s attacks stands at about 1,200.
The Israeli army says two more of its soldiers have been killed during fighting in northern Gaza.
At least 387 Israeli soldiers have been killed since the start of the war, according to the IDF.
On the other hand, Yemen’s Houthi rebels have seized an Israeli-linked cargo ship in the Red Sea and taken two dozen crew members hostage, raising fears of a wider escalation.
