Six people were killed and more than 20 others injured in a road accident in Rajasthan's Pali district in India on Friday night, reports NDTV.
A tractor-trailer carrying pilgrims and a truck collided in the district, said local police station in-charge Rameshwar Bhati to the media.
The pilgrims were returning from Jaisalmer's Ramdevra, where a temple of folk deity Baba Ramdev is located.
The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's office tweeted to express his grief over the tragedy.
"The accident in Pali, Rajasthan is saddening. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the bereaved families. I pray for a speedy recovery of those injured," Modi said.
"A probe has been ordered into the accident," the police officer added.
