The country’s largest single-roof exhibition tent, Expo Village, will be inaugurated on Thursday at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.
“This will be the largest single-roof expo tent in Bangladesh, designed to facilitate all types of activations,” said M Jasim Uddin, chief operating officer of ICCB, speaking to the Daily Sun.
Expo Village will host the 8th edition of the Bangladesh Buildcon International Expo, jointly organised by ASK Trade and Exhibitions and Futurex Trade Fair.
The fully air-conditioned multipurpose venue adds 1.34 lakh square feet of space to ICCB and is capable of hosting a variety of events, from small social gatherings to large-scale functions.
ICCB is widely recognised for its versatility in hosting fairs, exhibitions, convocations, seminars, corporate retreats, concerts, weddings, bike shows, and car shows.
Expo Village, open year-round, offers state-of-the-art facilities, including parking for over 1,000 cars, transport options, 24/7 CCTV surveillance, and stringent security measures. It can accommodate over 10,000 attendees under a single roof.
Since its launch a decade ago, ICCB has become the preferred venue in Dhaka for prestigious events, thanks to its expansive space and modern amenities. It is located on the 300-feet highway, making it easily accessible for both local and international clients.
A variety of expos are currently taking place at ICCB, including the Textile Talent Hunt and National Conference, Fresher’s Career Fair by bdjobs.com, Haier Electronics Corporate Programme, and Expo Paint & Coatings Dhaka.
At the Expo Paint & Coatings Dhaka, which was inaugurated on Tuesday by Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, president of the Bangladesh Paint Manufacturers Association, machinery for producing different types of paint is on display.
“Around 75 domestic and international brands are participating in the expo, showcasing products at 50 stalls,” said Abhijit Mondal, senior manager of International Business at E3 Solutions, the organiser of the event.
Trade Tech Deputy General Manager Bachchu Mia highlighted that the expo features Chinese generators priced between Tk3 lakh and Tk20 lakh.
The Expo Village is poised to become a game-changer in hosting large-scale events in the country.
