Dhaka International Trade Fair is to wrap up tomorrow (Tuesday) at its new venue in the capital's Purbachal.
Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi is scheduled to attend the closing ceremony as the chief guest while Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi will be the guest of honour on the occasion.
At the last moment, the trade fair has become fulfilled with the people. Organisers said more than four lakh people gathered at the fair venue on Friday and Saturday last.
Although the selling of household products sold more at the start of the fair, sale of all kinds of products increased in the last phase.
People are gathering at the fair at the last moment and the sale has also increased, said the organisers.
Sellers are very happy as they can sell their products in the last phase.
This is the second time, Dhaka International Trade Fair is being held at Purbachal.
Some 331 stalls and pavilions have been installed while some 17 organisations from 10 countries including Singapore, Indonesia, Korea and India are taking part in the event.
Visitors at the fair hoped that organisers will give a well-organised fair in the future taking the experience of the fair.
