A fire broke out in a double-decker BRTC bus on Kuril Bishwa Road in the capital. Upon receiving the news, two units of the Fire Service were dispatched to the scene.
The Fire Service was notified of the fire at 1:40 PM on Friday, November 8. Rashed Bin Khaled, the duty officer at the Kurmitola Fire Service control room, confirmed the incident.
He said, "We received reports at 1:40 PM of a fire in a double-decker BRTC bus on Kuril Bishwa Road. Following the report, two units from the Kurmitola Fire Station were dispatched to the scene. Initially, we were unable to determine the cause of the fire, and no information has yet been received regarding any casualties."
The bus was parked on the road next to the garbage depot beneath the Kuril Bishwa Road flyover.
