With an hour to go till the date shifted at midnight, miscreants set fire to two buses in different parts of the capital on Saturday midnight, reports UNB.
In Gabtoli, a bus of “Padma Line” was set on fire at 11.09 pm, with another opposition blockade on the horizon from 6am Sunday.
The bus was set on fire at the Gabtoli Bus Terminal, said Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director at the Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters (media cell).
On information, two firefighting units from Kallyanpur Fire Station rushed to the spot and doused the fire, he said.
In Agargaon, a bus of “Bhuyan Paribahan” was set on fire in front of Agargaon Betar Building at 11.00pm, said Sikder.
Two firefighting units from Mohammadpur Fire Station rushed to the spot immediately and doused the fire.
