The Road Transport and Bridges ministry on Monday formed a five-member probe committee to investigate the incident which left five dead and two others injured in the capital’s Uttara.
ABM Amin Ullah Noori, Secretary of Road Transport and Highways Department revealed this information to the media on Monday night.
He said a five-member probe committee has been formed in the crane accident. Neelima Akhtar, Additional Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Department has been made the head of the committee.
They are asked to submit a preliminary report within one day and a full report within two days, he added.
Earlier, five people, including two children, were killed and another was injured as a flyover guarder of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) fell on a car in the capital’s Uttara on Monday afternoon.
Police said the incident happened while BRT authority was setting up a guarder of the flyover by crane at Jasim Uddin Road in Uttara.
