Two kids among five dead as flyover guarder falls at Uttara

Five people, including two children, were killed and another was injured as a flyover guarder of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) fell on a car in the capital’s Uttara on Monday afternoon.    

Four of the deceased were identified as Rubel 50, Jhorna 28, Jannat 6 and Zakaria, 2.

Police said the incident happened while BRT authority was setting up a guarder of the flyover by crane at Jasim Uddin Road in Uttara.

Uttara West Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Mohsin confirmed the matter to the media.

“Police force has been sent to the spot,” he added.
