Adviser Asif Mahmud said that stadiums will be built in the name of July martyrs in 220 upazilas across the country.
Asif Mahmud, Adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives said this at the inauguration ceremony of the 'Shaheed Farhan Faiyaz Playground' for the physically challenged people on the west side of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Saturday.
The adviser of the Ministry of Youth and Sports said that the price of sacrifice and blood of those who were martyred in the July-August uprising will never be possible to be repaid. But we are trying to show as much respect as we can.”
He said that stadiums will be built in 220 upazilas across the country.
“We have taken a policy decision that these 220 stadiums will be named after the martyrs of that upazila.”
