Afghanistan posted a challenging score of 284 runs in 49.5 overs by losing all wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium in India on Sunday.
Afghan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored the highest 80 runs off 57 balls while lower-order batter Ikram Alikhil scored 58 runs from 66 balls.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman hits brilliant 28 runs off 16 balls.
England wrist-spinner Adil Rashid bagged 3 wickets and Mark Wood bagged 2 wickets while Liam Livingstone, Reece Topley and Joe Root got one wicket each.
Earlier, England won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Both teams are playing their second match in the tournament.
